I photographed many blue doors in Tunesia, all pristine and richly decorated with black studs. They were all a bit clinical, no soul, till I came across this gate, faded down and patched up. Someone even attempted to paint it over but gave up.

Raw applique, about 50 pieces, then machine stitched into it, accents with "Inktense" pencils, layered and machine quilted
