Contemporary Quilt Journal 2013 February

Random Windows

My theme for this year is architecture and to narrow it down: Friedrich Hundertwasser, architect, painter and environmentalist. His use of bright colours and fluid lines have attracted me for a long time, straight lines are "the tool of the devil". His work will keep me inspired for a long time.

As in the January piece, trees are very important in Hundertwasser's designs and they are on almost all his buildings.

This house has been painted with thickened artist ink, details and the golden dome are done with markal sticks. The trees are several layers of different green sheers.

Machine and hand stitched and quilted.
