My theme for this year is architecture and to narrow it down: Friedrich Hundertwasser, architect, painter and environmentalist. His use of bright colours and fluid lines have attracted me for a long time, straight lines are "the tool of the devil". His work will keep me inspired for a long time.
The "rolling hills" or slit-eye houses are build into the landscape. Only the facade is visible, the rest is underground.
A complete village was build in this way in Germany in 1990-1997.
First painted onto white cotton and then stitched onto black cotton, machine stitched.
